Significance of different Deities in India
Ancient sages and saints of India, while advocating the One Supreme Reality (universal consiousness) attributed certain specific powers and qualities to every Indian Deity. Different Indian Deities like Lord Brahma (Creation), Lord Vishnu (Protection and Sustenance), Lord Shiva (Recreator), Lord Rama (Ideal Life), Lord Krishna (Perfection in action), Lord Ganesha (Good Luck), and Lord Hanuman (Physical Strength) and Goddesses like Durga (Mental Strength), Lakshmi (Money) and Saraswati (Wisdom) are all manifestations of same One Supreme Reality which manifests itself according to desire, need, requirement of the Devotee/worshipper. This is based on Vedic Truth : As you think, so you become”

Lord Ganesha is the combination of all the powers and qualities which are there in all the Deities.
That is why Lord Ganesha is known as Deity of Deities and Lord of Good Luck. Good Luck does not mean only money; it also means good health, happiness and prosperity for oneself and for all the members, of one’s family which is ensured to its Devotees by Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is also renowned for removing obstacles from one’s life as a person who is always facing difficulties and hurdles in his life cannot be happy and prosperous.

Big Bang, Om and Ganesha
“From contraction to expansion. From a point, a drop, a bindu expanding into a stream, cascading across the heavens like a streak of blue light. The bindu expanding, a universe growing and taking shape. The Omkara(OM)---exploding into a galaxy of sound and shapes. This is the initial manifestation of Ganesha. The footprints of a God arriving on the frontiers of eternity.” Then emerged from formless to form. Ganesha is the essence of sound. Ganesha is pure universal consiousness. Ganesha is sat-chit-anand (existence, consiousness and bliss)
-(Prof. John A Crimes, in his book “Ganesha-Song of the Self” State University of New York, Albany)
