Indian Artist

Indian artists are making their presence felt across the globe. People now have access to Indian Art due to auction houses and online art sites where you can buy art online.

It houses works of famous artists like Sanjay Bhattacharya, Shuvaprasanna, Sipra Bhattacharya, Suhas Roy, Avijit Dutta, Sudip Roy, Sekhar Roy, Vijender Sharma to name few..

Shuvaprasanna – Born in Kolkata in 1947. Shuvaprasanna graduated from the Indian College of Art in Kolkata in late 60’s. His works are exhibited at museums, academics and are part of private collections in India and abroad.

Sanjay Bhattacharya – Born in Kolkata in 1958. Sanjay Received First Class Diploma in Fine Arts from Government College of Arts & Crafts, Kolkata, in 1982. Sanjay is a gifted artist. Sanjay Bhattacharya has experimented with inner and outer realities evoked by architectural elements. His mediums are water colour on paper and oil on canvas.

Sipra Bhattacharya – Born in 1950 in Kolkata. She has done Fine Arts at the College of Visual Arts, Kolkata. Sipra Bhattacharya has done various solo and group shows in India and abroad.

Suhas Roy – Born in 1936 in Dhaka (now in Bangladesh). He studied at the Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, Kolkata. Suhas Roy worked as Head of the Department of painting at Kala Bhawan, Shantineketan.

Shekhar Roy – Born in 1957. Shekhar Roy graduated with First Class honours from the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata. One can find Shekhar Roy’s works in India and abroad.

Sudip Roy – Graduated from the Government College of Art & Crafts, Kolkata in 1983.
Words can not describe his tremendous works. Sudip Roy works on different medium.

Avijit Dutta – A graduate of Masters in Visual Arts from Rabindra Bharati University, Jorasako. His paintings have an underlying sense of realism that enables the design to find position. Avijit Dutta loves to work on Tempara on Canvas.

Sanatan Dinda – Born in 1971 in Kolkata. Did his Graduation (B.V. A) from Government College of Arts & Crafts, Kolkata and stood 1st Class First(Western Style) in 1992. He has had shows all over India and abroad. He has fast become one of the most sought after artists in India.

Bratin Khan – He was born in 1969 and studied in Kala Bhavan, Shantiniketan. A very promising artist. In a short span of time, Bratin Khan has made a name for himself in the field of tempara works on canvas as well as paper.
